Automated Maintenance Systems, Inc. is kept abreast and utilizes the latest in janitorial industry processes and equipment through its involvement in Building Services Contractors’ Association International, the best trade association in the janitorial industry. Ellen Glood is the only Certified Building Service Executive in North Dakota and South Dakota. The designation of Certified Building Service Executive means the person has extensive knowledge and training in the management of contract cleaning. To achieve the CBSE designation, building service contractors must participate in a Certification Program, which requires their successful completion of a rigorous, full day examination. Additionally, they must document their experience and tenure as a building service executive. A minimum of five years in the industry and three years in an executive policymaking position is mandatory for consideration of the CBSE designation. In order to maintain their designation, CBSEs must participate in ongoing, educational activities. These activities keep them apprised of the latest industry developments with respect to management techniques, financial and strategic planning, risk management, and legal issues. CBSEs adhere to the BSCAI Code of Ethics, which advocates professionalism and fair business practice among cleaning contractors.

The foundation of Automated Maintenance Systems, Inc. rests on its quality employees and management who have an excellent Midwestern work ethic, good judgment, high performance standards, and ethical behavior in every one of the facilities we service.   Without those sound building blocks, companies cannot possibly expect to meet customer expectations.  With that base in place, along with clear standards of contract performance, clear work instructions, proven procedures, an excellent quality control system, and a good communication system, our customers are consistently serviced.

Automated Maintenance Systems, Inc. has developed a sound training program for its janitors, supervisors, and managers. We feel that serving our customer begins with hiring a quality person and then placing a well-trained conscientious janitor, with sound judgment in your account.

Automated Maintenance Systems, Inc. utilizes written cleaning programs for all of  its accounts that are tailored from the contract specifications, including  Job Cards that are made up for every position in an account that clearly identify their duties.
Automated Maintenance Systems, Inc. utilizes the Team Financial Management System to ensure that the work is getting done.  The TeleTeam Timekeeping System is critical.  Employees must clock in via telephone at their account and this information is fed directly into our system.  This software lets us know if someone has not clocked in.  A voice-messaging component allows us to do performance tracking, work scheduling, and inventory control.

Automated Maintenance Systems, Inc. views the quality control process as a continuous process. It starts, of course, with training the cleaner at his/her level to be checking their own work at the end of their shift and correcting any deficiencies. Secondly, the supervisor or manager conducts very regular inspections utilizing our quality control system. Upper management also maintains regular and consistent contact with customers to assure performance levels, as well also conducting ongoing quality control inspections.

Any customer issues that come up are taken very seriously.  After analyzing the problem, corrective actions are undertaken immediately to correct and resolve the problem so that it does not recur.

Automated Maintenance Systems, Inc. utilizes an Attendance Policy which motivates employees to show up on time and consistently for their jobs. AMS, Inc. also utilizes a Building Lead Bonus Policy in our accounts of large size that results in customer satisfaction with the job done in your account.  As such, the Building Lead is the first one in his/her account and the last one to leave. The Building Lead is rewarded for no customer complaints, successful inspections, and performing the contract specifications within the budgeted hours.

Automated Maintenance Systems, Inc. also provides specialty services including scrub, strip, and waxing of hard floors, carpet cleaning using a state-of-the-art truck mount,  lawn care,  snow removal, bare ground sterilization, and emergency services such as water clean-up.
